Largest Matching Challenge in YVCF’s 20 Year History Donated for Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Maintenance Endowment Fund

From: Debbie and Moz Modzelewski:

I think you’d agree that The Tennis and Pickleball Center at Steamboat Springs is a tremendous asset to the Yampa Valley community!  Perhaps for you too, it’s one of the primary reasons why Moz and I choose to call Steamboat home for much of the year.

In fact, Moz and I are so passionate about the programming and facilities offered by the Tennis and Pickleball Center that we’ve decided to make a significant investment in its future – we are pledging $25,000 as a matching challenge to support the endowment fund held at the Yampa Valley Community Foundation for the protection and maintenance of the Tennis and Pickleball Center.

Endowments for maintenance aren’t sexy but every homeowner knows that adequate funds for maintenance and upkeep are essential to continuing the value and enjoyment of a facility like the Tennis and Pickleball Center.  The City of Steamboat Springs provides some funds each year and this endowment’s goal is to augment that budget so the Center can continue to be the nationally-recognized facility that we know and love.  A strong maintenance endowment should also give the City more confidence to upgrade and expand the Center.

Moz and I invite you to join us in growing the Tennis and Pickleball Center Maintenance Endowment.  Now through October 15th, you can double the impact of your donation since we’ll match it dollar for dollar until our pledge of $25,000 is met.  Whether you decide to contribute $10 or $1,000, thank you for being a part of the center’s future.

To make a tax deductible donation, please make your check to Yampa Valley Community Foundation with the memo: For the Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Center Maintenance Fund. (Or STPC-MF, for short.) The check should be mailed to YVCF, PO Box 881869, Steamboat Springs, CO 80488. If you prefer, you can take your donation check to the Tennis and Pickleball Center and we will make sure it gets to the YVCF. Online donations may also be made at yvcf.org/tennisandpickleballcenter.

Please make an investment in the future of tennis and pickleball in Steamboat by donating today. Together, let’s raise $50,000!
